Hello!
Overnight stays with my grandma were my favorite trips. That's saying a lot considering I grew up in Southern California... near Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Sea World, the beaches, and so on. I am not saying I didn't visit and enjoy all those wonderful places, because I did, and I spent a lot of time in all the stores along Main Street in Disneyland.
But having the opportunity to dust my grandma's knickknacks, and let me tell you... there were a lot of them... was pure joy. How I loved to take them all down, wipe them gently with a soft cloth and then rearrange them on the shelves. There were society ladies wearing fancy hats; colorful baskets in all sizes and shapes; little bears, dogs, cats, children holding hands, and much, much more.
Grandma wiping her hands on her long apron would come in from the kitchen to survey my work. She made sure nothing was broken or chipped. My reward? Putting on an apron she made especially for me. Then we would mix cookie dough and bake lemon-flavored cookies. Mmmm... I can smell them now...
After college, I chose a career in Public Relations/Marketing for healthcare providers. It was a rewarding, yet extremely fast-paced environment. When things were too busy, I walked down to the nearby corner of heaven... a charming Gift Shop overflowing with deliciousness!
I strolled down every aisle of that gift shop touching and admiring every single item. Every inch of every nook and cranny, shelf, corner, even the ceiling held collectibles, tea pots, and baby items that included blankets, china teacups, porcelain figurines, picture frames, glass & silver serving trays, and aprons.
And now... our name says it all... MainStreet-Store. We are chock-full of aprons and other items. Currently, we have a wonderful selection of Jessie Steele & Designer aprons for adults and children (of course). And our holiday apron collections will be available any day now.
We have a large inventory of embellishments and accessories for you and your home. I hope you find something you like... maybe a hand-painted glass tray, a Vera Bradley collectible, or a beautiful, etched-glass candleholder. Perhaps it will be a tabletop collection; holiday plates, napkins & napkin holders, mugs, or something else... we have so much more!
